The Challenge of Symbols
The world is full of symbols. What they represent or mean to each person can be the same or different. Some are meant to show solidarity. Some create discomfort. Some purport hate. They are statements as such, silent but not invisible. There is always the context that we don'r see or realize that brings uncertainty. Some we collectively and with a singular voice ban because of the nature of hate. One cannot eradicate any or all symbols that make one feel unsafe or upset. Creating a condition of blindness leads only to darkness.
