Paratext
This is what surrounds the text of a book. The cover, the notes, the title page. It augments, conditions and adds something about these pages of text.
Social media posts have a message but what surrounds that text? What elements amplify its meaning, ideas, feelings or intent? We assume and make a story in order to make some sense of it. There is no meaning without a story. That is story is yours. It can change because you decide it to, no one else. What makes it change though? Something looks one way, until you look back and see it differently. And then there are all those new paths that open.
We bring our voices, both know and unknown. That collective voice is difficult to discern at times but we are human and we try.
And so the story goes.
